A Few Ideas To Get You Started
Carefully add a small amount at a time from a measuring spoon until the desired shade is obtained. For colored eggs, combine 1/4 teaspoon Yellow Food Color with 2 teaspoons distilled vinegar and 2/3 cup boiling water; dip eggs. For a richer golden color, add 1/4 teaspoon to 2 cups batter when making lemon, pound, or sponge cakes. To paint cookies, mix 1 egg yolk and 1/4 teaspoon water; add color to desired shade; paint on sugar cookie dough with a small brush before baking.
