  Root Beer Concentrate
  General Description
Enjoy the fun and excitement of making old-fashioned root beer with this easy-to-use concentrate.

Storage Tips
Store in cool, dark, dry places.

A Few Ideas To Get You Started
1) Combine 1 bottle (2 oz.) Root Beer Concentrate and 5 pounds sugar in an 8 gallon kettle. 2) Slowly add 5 gallons lukewarm distilled water; stir to dissolve sugar. 3) Dissolve 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast (or 1/2 of a 0.6 oz yeast cake) in 1 cup water. Stir into Root Beer mixture. 4) Bottle immediately, leaving 2 inch head space and cork tightly. Do not use plastic or disposable bottles or resealable, twist-off caps. (Wine bottles and corks can be purchased at wine supply stores). 5) Store bottles on their sides in a warm place (70 to 80 degrees) for at least 5 days or up to 10 days. Chill before serving. For a quick root beer float, stir 1/2 teaspoon Root Beer Concentrate into 1 cup ginger ale; add 1/2 cup ice cream.
