Durkee® LePak® Cajun Seasoning gives recipes real southern Louisiana flavor.  Add to traditional gumbos, creoles and soups.  Sprinkle Cajun Seasoning on hamburgers, steaks, grilled chicken or fish for new menu excitement.  Create new dishes by adding Cajun Seasoning to sauces and casseroles.


Cajun Hash Brown Bake
 
12 Servings 24 Servings
Margarine 2 Tbsp.  1/4 cup 
Onion, chopped  3 oz. or 1 cup  6 oz. or 2 cups 
Green pepper, chopped  3 oz. or 1 cup 6 oz. or 2 cups
Tomatoes, diced, canned  1 lb. 2 lbs. 
Hash brown potatoes, frozen  2 lbs.  4 lbs. 
Sour cream  8 oz.  1 lb. 
Cheddar cheese, shredded 1 lb. 2 lbs.
Durkee LePak Cajun Seasoning 2 Tbsp. 1/4 cup

Melt margarine and sauté onion and green pepper until crisp tender.  Add tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.

In large bowl, combine potatoes, tomato mixture, sour cream, cheese and Cajun Seasoning.  Mix well.

Coat shallow steamtable pan (1/2 pan for 12 servings, full pan for 24 servings) with non-stick spray.  Pour potato mixture into pan.

Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes or until internal temperature registers at least 165°F.

For spicier potatoes, add more Cajun Seasoning.  Serve with grilled chicken, fish or steak.
