Durkee® Chinese 5 Spice is a traditional, pungent blend of cloves, black pepper, fennel, cinnamon and anise.  It's a natural for Asian cooking, yet versatile.  Chinese 5 Spice will bring your seafood, pork, chicken, duck or turkey to new heights -- or use it to add fireworks to carrots, sweet potatoes and rice. This recipe is a delicious marinade for shrimp as an appetizer or entree.


Chinese 5 Spice Pacific Shrimp

Vegetable oil 1/4 cup  3/4 cup 
Lime juice  1/4 cup  3/4 cup 
Durkee Chinese 5 Spice 2 Tbsp.  6 Tbsp. 
Vegetable oil  1 Tbsp. 3 Tbsp. 
Shrimp, peeled & deveined, 
16-20 ct. 
2 lbs.  6 lbs. 

Combine first amount of oil, lime juice and Durkee Chinese 5 Spice.  Add shrimp.  Marinate refrigerated for 30 minutes.

Heat second amount of oil in a large sauté pan.  Add shrimp and cook 5-8 minutes, turning until shrimp is pink and firm.  Discard marinade.

Garnish shrimp with lime slices and serve over rice.
